Andreas Seidl will stay with his quarantined staff in Melbourne for the time being and take care of team matters on site.
With its clear and quick positioning, Seidl has once again presented itself as a sovereign leader. After it became known that a McLaren employee was infected with the Corona virus, he immediately withdrew the team from the Australian Grand Prix and did not wait for the management of Formula One and FIA to come.
F1-Insider.com reached Seidl on the phone in Melbourne. “I’ve been sorting out the team all night and now, out of solidarity, I’m staying with my Melbourne staff for the time being.”
